Poor Mental Health at Work!
You often think you need a job that pays well to buy the nice things and have quality in life but actually your mind-set and your view on life are key fundamentals. Check out these top tips to help you…
- Spend within your means: save 20 percent of net income and live on the remaining 80 percent.
- Don’t gamble: Every week, 77 percent of those who struggle financially play the lottery. Hardly anyone who is wealthy plays the numbers. Wealthy people do not rely on random good luck for their wealth. They create their own good luck.
- Read every day: Among wealthy people, 88 percent read for 30 minutes or more a day.
- Watch less TV and be more productive: Two-thirds of wealthy people watch less than an hour of TV a day and almost that many—63 percent—spend less than an hour a day on the internet unless it is job-related. Instead, these successful people use their free time engaged in personal development, networking, volunteering, working side jobs or side businesses, or pursuing some goal that will lead to rewards down the road. But 77 percent of those struggling financially spend an hour or more a day watching TV, and 74 percent spend an hour or more a day using the internet recreationally.
- Control your emotions: You don’t need to say everything that’s on your mind nor that you have to express how you’re feeling. 69 percent of those who struggle financially are more likely to show their emotions. Conversely, 94 percent of wealthy people filter their emotions. They understand that letting emotions control them can destroy relationships at work and at home. Sit back, be calm and look at the overall bigger picture. Fear can be hard to control even if it’s positive like a promotion or a new relationship for example. The more wealthy people condition their mind to remain in control and overcome these thoughts, whereby less wealthy give in and allow fear to hold them back.
- Network and volunteer regularly: Building a strong network around you enforces more customers and clients but also leverages your reputation. Almost three-quarters of wealthy people network and volunteer a minimum of five hours a month. Among those struggling financially, only one in 10 does this. It’s time to give back to the community.
- Go the extra mile in work and business: Going out of your way shows true character. Wealthy individuals, on the other hand, make themselves invaluable to their employers or customers, writing articles related to their industry, speaking at industry events and networking. Successful people work hard to achieve the mutual goals of their employers or their businesses.
- Set goals not wishes: You can control the outcome of a goal but not the outcome of a wish. Annually, 70 percent of wealthy people pursue at least one major goal. Only 3 percent of those struggling to make ends meet do this. Set your goals, track and achieve!
- Avoid procrastination: This destroys relationships. Be productive and help yourself and those around you to achieve their goals and objectives. For example, have a daily to-do list, be accountable, give deadlines even if they are hypothetical, give yourselve key objectives that need completing, have affirmations to align positivity! You will be a better person to hang around with!
- Talk less and listen more: The perfect ratio is 5:1. Listen to others for five minutes for every one minute that you speak yourself. Wealthy people are good communicators because they are good listeners. They understand that you can learn and educate yourself only by listening to what other people have to say.
- Avoid toxic people: This breaths negativity….of the wealthy 86 percent associate with other successful people. But 96 percent of those struggling financially stick with others struggling financially.
- Don’t give up: Be positive, focused and patient. Chase your goals! Those that aren’t driven, stop short and will continue to go-around-in-circles.
- Believe in yourself: Almost four out of five wealthy people attribute their success in life to their beliefs. Changing negative beliefs into positive affirmations by reading lessons from the greats of personal development, like Napoleon Hill, can drive positivity, hope and rewards.
- Get a mentor: Having someone to help you drive forward towards your goals and dreams gives you support and encouragement. Among the wealthy, 93 percent who had a mentor attributed their success to that person.
- Be positive always: Being positive creates positive outcomes i.e. promotions, bonus, new business, good health. Those struggling financially in life have a way of creating bad luck for themselves, try focusing on the good and believe in yourself.
- Know your purpose in life: Do only what makes you happy. If you have a purpose you will drive forward putting more hours into what you love.
