Poor Mental Health at Work!
Why do companies struggle to fill a role? The answer is that sometimes companies are so fixated on their set criteria they miss a trick.
The fact is transferable skills are over-looked because line managers are not trained to look at the potential in an individual, thinking outside of the box and what else they can bring to the table. For example, even though a potential has the skills and experience but not the specific industry experience, they decide to hold back until they get someone that has all of their desirable person specifications.
This in turn has its’ set-backs and has a huge impact on the existing team like:
- reduced productivity
- pressure of workload output
- stress related illnesses
- client dissatisfaction
- potential errors in workload
- risk of losing staff
- risk of losing clients
