My First Year at Gotcha – Valarie Joyce

My name is Valarie and I retired from a full-time career with a market leader risk company,
two years ago.

Retirement ….. I lasted 6 months during the summer.  One year ago I was chatting to my hairdressers saying that I was thinking about working again.  Not the same career but somewhere really nice with nice people and working for a company that appreciates their staff.

My hairdresser knew Angela, the Managing Director of Gotcha, she went to school with her.  (I found out later, so did my son).  My hairdresser contacted Angela and before I knew it had been interviewed and offered the position of PA to the Managing Director on a part-time basis.

Gotcha was everything I was looking for.

In the year I have been with Gotcha, I have learned new skills and been given more and more responsibility as my knowledge grows.  My relationship with Angela has been superb.  I love all the things she doesn’t, so the partnership works really well.  She has been happy to delegate the office administration management to me so that she can do what she does best …. Growing the business.

I now have a really good work life balance.  I have time to see my friends and family and doing a job I absolutely love.
